Silver Jubilee Celebration of Suvidya College

Suvidya College,  the Fransalian Institute of Philosophy and Relligion,  Bangalore, celebrated the 25 years of its existence on 8-10 of February 2009. 25 fruitful years in the  formation of a large number of religious and priests who  render yeomen  service to the Global Church Today. For the Suvidyans it was indeed a moment of  pride and  we felt  a great sense of fulfillment. Certainly it was an occasion  to come together and thank the Lord who, through his abundant blessings, has guided  every venture  of ours in taking the institute to enviable success and great heights.

It was a three day  celebration.  On the first day, the Holy Eucharist was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Devasia Kuzhuppil, msfs, the pioneering visionary of Suv idya College and first provincial of the erstwhile Vizag Province. We had a cutlural evening performed by the artists from the NBCLC, Bangalore.

The second day , on  9th of February, the solemn Eucharistic celebration was presided over by His Grace Rt. Rev. Ignatius Pinto, Archbishop Emeritus  of Bangalore. After the Eucharistic celebration we had the felicitation programme organized by Rev. Fr. Joy Mampally and it was followed by dinner.

The third day on the 10th of February at 10.30 am the Alumni gathering was held and by at 5.00 pm the Solemn Eucharist was celebrated  by His Eminence Telespore Placidus Toppo,  Cardinal and Archbishop of Ranchi.  At. 6.30 pm the felicitation programme came to a close and we wound up the evening with a delicious dinner.

The Whole Jubilee celebrations  was indeed an occasion of joy and happiness and a fruitful experience for Suvidyans.
