Inauguration of the New Academic year and Silver Jubilee year of Suvidya College  Fr. Emmanuel Uppamthadathil msfs  The inauguration of the New Academic Year of Suvidya College as well as the inauguration of the Silver Jubilee Year of Suvidya College was held on the 14th of June 2008. The Inaugural ceremony was begun with the Mass of the Holy Spirit celebrated by Fr. Antony Mookenthottam msfs and the homily was preached by Fr. Jacob Parapally msfs. Fr. Jolly Chakkalakkal msfs the Rector of Suvidya College extended a warm welcome to everyone. A number of priests concelebrated the Eucharist including many provincials of the participating provinces of Suvidya College as well as study house directors. After the Holy Mass, the inaugural ceremony was presided over by Ambassador Alan Nazareth IFS. The Chairman of Lokaayukta Justice Santosh Hegde in his Lectio Brevis exhorted every one present there to discern between good and bad and choose the path of righteousness to build up a society that is free of corruption. On this day Fr. Joy Mampally introduced his newly published book titled A Reality in Process: A comparative study of Ramanuja and Alfred North Whitehead to the audience. Fr. Mathew Kozhuppakalam msfs, the Chairman of the Governing Body of Suvidya College and the Provincial of the South West province released the book and gave the first copy to Ambassador Alan Nazareth. The third issue of the journal Suvidya- Journal of Philosophy and Religion too was released during the inaugural ceremony. Ambassador Alan Nazareth released the Journal and gave the first copy to Justice Santosh Hegde, the Chairman of the Loakayukta. Fr. Mathew Kozhuppkalam in his presidential address invited the students to be strong in their motivation and become excellent human beings by taking up various activities in the college seriously. Fr.
